WHEEL-THROWN CERAMICS
This year, students learned and practiced wheel-throwing methods and used these techniques to create functional pottery. This presented a particular challenge in the virtual environment. Some virtual students purchased toy wheels to practice technique while others used hand-building methods catered to wheel-throwing practices like the symmetry and pulling of clay.
Students have continued to face the challenge of school closure and virtual learning due to COVID-19; we are proud of how our art students have persevered through this challenge, and are happy to be able to share some of the art they made while at home!
Student artworks are separated by class level, and then grouped by lesson in the menu – simply click on the class level and then the lesson name and you will be able to scroll through the corresponding artwork!
